Our client is a construction head contractor who also do come consulting work who are looking for an enthusiastic Estimator or Senior Estimator or Cost Planner to join their innovative team to work on a high-rise residential projects amongst others.

n

The candidate can come from the client or head contractor side but will ideally have some experience working on head contractor side on 30 to 50+ storey high rise residential projects in the Brisbane market with local knowledge.

n

Projects will be new build in nature and candidates will have needed to have priced large current build projects in the past.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare detailed cost plans and estimates across all project stages
n
- Develop feasibility studies and benchmark cost analysis
n
- Provide procurement and tendering advice
n




- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
n
- Undertake risk assessments and value engineering exercises
n
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (where applicable)
n
- Assess variations and progress claims
n
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors
n
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management
n

About You

n

n
- 5 - 10+ years' experience in cost planning or estimating (consultancy experience highly regarded)
n
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian construction costs and market conditions
n
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
n
- High attention to detail and strong commercial acumen
n
- Proficiency in cost estimating software and Excel
n
- RICS or AIQS membership (or working towards) is advantageous
n
