Senior Data Analyst (Contract) | NSW, Australia

- Contract: 6 months initially with a view to a 12-month extension

- Work pattern: Full-time (38 hours/week)

About the Role:
n
We're looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join a high-performing Data Science function on a 6-month contract (with potential extension).
n
You'll work across multiple teams, partnering with product, marketing, and business stakeholders to drive insights, shape strategy, and influence decision-making.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex product and business challenges
n
- Use data analysis, experimentation, and statistical methods to generate actionable insights
n
- Develop hypotheses and test them using structured analytical approaches
n
- Identify opportunities to improve products and business performance
n
- Influence product roadmaps through data-driven recommendations
n
- Define and track key product metrics,
forecasting trends and measuring success
n
- Translate data into compelling, easy-to-understand narratives for stakeholders
n
n
What We're Looking For:
n
n
- 8–10 years' experience in analytics or data-focused roles
n
- Strong ability to turn data into explicit insights and business recommendations
n
- Experience across the SaaS customer lifecycle (acquisition retention)
n
- Proven experience designing and analysing experiments
n
- Advanced SQL (Snowflake, Postgres)
n
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Databricks, or similar)
n
- Working knowledge of Python or R (bonus)
n
n

- Excellent communication and storytelling skills

- Ability to connect data insights to business outcomes
n
- Self-starter who thrives in a remote, autonomous environment
