Setting the Scene
n Our client is a large-scale technology services organisation delivering critical security and infrastructure services across complex enterprise environments.
n Joining an established Security Operations team, you'll work across firewall management, secure VPN, protective DNS and broader security infrastructure services. This is a hands‐on senior role with the opportunity to design new solutions, improve existing services and tackle complex technical challenges.

The Role
n This role is suited to a Senior Security Engineer, Network Security Engineer or Security Infrastructure Specialist who enjoys hands‐on technical work and taking ownership of solutions. You'll work autonomously across a broad technology stack while contributing to new security offerings and the ongoing improvement of existing services.

Key responsibilities:

n

n
- Lead the design, implementation and management of security infrastructure services
n
- Manage and troubleshoot firewalls including Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, Cisco and/or Check Point
n
- Support secure VPN, DNS and protective DNS services
n
- Design, build and deploy new security service offerings
n
- Identify and implement improvements across existing security services
n
- Investigate and resolve complex network and security incidents
n
- Capture technical requirements and deliver appropriate security solutions
n
- Work across Azure and AWS security and connectivity environments
n
- Support technologies including routing, switching, IDS/IPS and load balancing
n
- Maintain clear technical documentation and build strong relationships with stakeholders
n




- Participate in an out‐of‐hours on‐call roster
n

What you'll bring

n

n
- Strong hands‐on experience across network and security infrastructure
n
- Experience with enterprise firewall technologies including Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, Cisco or Check Point
n
- Strong knowledge of DNS and VPN technologies
n
- Experience designing and delivering technical security solutions
n
- Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS security and connectivity
n
- Strong networking fundamentals across routing and switching
n
- Experience with technologies such as IDS/IPS, load balancing and Linux and/or Windows
n
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem‐solving and incident resolution skills
n
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
n
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
n

Experience with scripting, automation or MSP/managed services environments would be highly regarded. Certifications such as CISSP, PCNSE, JNCIP-SEC, CCNP or relevant vendor certifications will be viewed favourably.
