Job Description
Lead the guest experience, team and growth of a distinctive Adelaide cellar door. This is a hands-on role for a hospitality leader who loves creating memorable guest experiences, developing people and turning great service into stronger sales, visitation and function activity. Our Cellar Door is a day-focused venue, offering the chance to build your leadership career around premium wine in a positive suburban workplace. Regular late trade is generally limited to Friday evenings, with occasional Saturday evening functions; most other shifts finish by early evening.

Key responsibilities
n
Lead smooth daily Cellar Door, Cellar 2 operations, particularly across Friday-to-Sunday trade.
n
Create a warm, knowledgeable and memorable experience for every guest.
n
Lead wine tastings and work with our winemakers to build engaging wine experiences.
n
Manage private, group and corporate functions from enquiry and conversion through to successful delivery.
n
Build function opportunities, customer traffic and venue sales through local relationships and collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
n
Lead, roster, coach and motivate permanent and casual staff, including accurate timesheet and payroll inputs.
n
Oversee opening and closing, cash reconciliation, point-of-sale accuracy, stock ordering and inventory control.
n
Maintain high standards of presentation, safety, responsible service and liquor-licensing compliance.
n
Coordinate suppliers, contractors and venue requirements, solving problems before they affect the guest experience.

About you
n
Proven leadership experience in hospitality, cellar door, restaurant, bar,
events or a comparable customer-facing venue.
n
A warm, genuine and generous service style, backed by strong commercial and sales instincts.
n
Experience managing functions or events, including enquiries, planning and delivery.
n
Confidence with rosters, staff supervision, stock, cash reconciliation and operational administration.
n
A practical, calm and adaptable approach - you think quickly, solve problems and support the team when the venue is busy.
n
Strong attention to detail across service, sales, presentation and compliance.
n
Working knowledge of wine and beverages; winery or cellar door experience is highly regarded.
n
Current RSA and Responsible Person approval/badge, or the ability to obtain the Responsible Person approval before commencement.
n
Valid Australian working rights and availability to work the required weekend and evening roster.
