- This role is Permanent Part-time 50hrs/fortnight
n
- The internal job title for this role is Sales Co-worker
n
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
n
- This role requires availability to work store operating hours as listed below:n n
- o Sunday to Wednesday 8:00am to 8:00pm
n
- o Thursday to Saturday 8:00am to 9:30pm
n

Key responsibilities (title) Who you are
n
As a Sales Co-worker in our Self Serve Warehouse & Outdoor department, you enjoy a role that combines customer service, active selling, stock handling and daily operational tasks.
You are comfortable working in a physically active retail environment, helping customers with their purchases while ensuring stock is available, organised and ready for sale.
n
You are or have:
n
n
- Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, warehousing, logistics, trade, hardware or other physically active environments.
n
- Passionate about creating a positive customer experience and helping customers find the right products and services.
n
- Confident engaging with customers, preparing delivery orders and actively selling IKEA products and services.
n
- Physically capable of repetitive manual handling, able to stand for up to 8-hours per-shift and walk approximately 15,000 and moving stock using mechanical aids.
n
- Comfortable using computers, handheld devices and digital systems to complete daily operational tasks.
n
- A strong team player who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative environment.
n
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain safe, organised and well-stocked sales and warehouse areas.
n
- Interested in developing your retail career, with the ambition to take on additional responsibilities and future leadership opportunities.

As Sales Co-worker in the Self Serve Warehouse & Outdoor department, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
- Serving customers by understanding their needs, providing product advice, supporting delivery orders and actively selling the IKEA range.
n
- Preparing, replenishing and condensing stock to ensure products are available and presented correctly for customers.
n
- Moving pallets and handling stock safely using approved lifting techniques and mechanical aids.
n
- Maintaining the Outdoor and Self Serve Warehouse areas to ensure they are safe, tidy, fully stocked and ready for trade.
n
- Processing customer returns, checking for damages and returning saleable products to stock.
n
- Work closely with your team and other departments to build an inclusive, collaborative environment.
n
