Job Description
12-Month Contract | ACT, VIC or NSW | Hybrid Working

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join a large-scale Data & Analytics transformation program on an initial 12-month contract.
n
Working at EL1 level, you will operate under broad direction and take responsibility for complex business analysis activities across a technology and data-focused workplace. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to define, document and deliver high-quality requirements that align with target architecture and broader business outcomes.
n
This is a hands‐on role for a Technical Business Analyst who can confidently bridge the gap between business needs and technical delivery.
n
You will be responsible for:
n
n
- Leading the elicitation, analysis and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements.
n
- Working with stakeholders to define requirements across areas including data, security, privacy, performance and compliance.
n
- Facilitating workshops with business and technical stakeholders to capture, clarify and validate requirements.
n
- Developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and other business analysis artefacts.
n
- Applying contemporary business analysis methodologies and modelling techniques, including BPMN and requirements traceability.
n
- Supporting system integration testing, user acceptance testing and solution validation activities.
n
- Producing high-quality documentation, including data flows, process flows and conceptual solution designs.
n
- Reviewing technical solution designs to ensure they align with business and technical requirements.
n
- Working within Agile delivery environments, managing changing priorities and contributing to epics, user stories and backlogs.
n
- Building strong working relationships across multidisciplinary business, data and technology teams.
n
n
You will bring:
n
n
- Demonstrated experience leading business and technical requirements elicitation, analysis and development within large-scale, complex programs.
n
- Strong analytical, strategic and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to develop practical, fit‐for‐purpose solutions to complex business challenges.
n
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
n
- Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments, including epics, user stories, backlogs and changing priorities.
n
- The resilience, adaptability and accountability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast‐paced environments.
n
- Strong proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
n
- A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
n
n
Experience in one or more of the following would be highly regarded:
n
n
- Enterprise data and analytics transformation programs.
n
- Analysis of integrations, APIs and complex technology ecosystems.
n
- Contemporary analytics platforms and technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI or Tableau.
n
- Data analysis and technical tooling, including SQL, Python or similar technologies.
n
n
