MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our host employers in Melbourne for an Electrical Apprentice to gain valuable experience working within a hands-on industrial and manufacturing environment. Located in the South Eastern and Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

About the role

As an Electrical Apprentice, you'll gain practical experience across a range of electrical tasks while working alongside experienced tradespeople. You'll develop your skills on the job, learn how electrical systems operate and build the knowledge and confidence needed to become a qualified Electrician.

What you'll be doing:

- Assist with electrical installation, wiring, maintenance and fault finding.
- Work with electrical equipment, machinery and systems within industrial and commercial environments.
- Develop practical skills in electrical cabling, connections, testing and diagnostics.
- Read and interpret basic electrical plans, drawings and schematics as your skills develop.
- Assist experienced tradespeople with day-to-day electrical work and projects.
- Learn how to safely use tools, equipment and electrical testing instruments.
- Gain exposure to a variety of electrical work while building your technical knowledge.
- Work as part of a team while developing your confidence and independence on the job.

What we are looking for

- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career as an Electrician.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and willingness to follow procedures and instructions.
- A practical mindset with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.




- Reliable, motivated and willing to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team while also showing initiative.
- Previous experience in electrical, manufacturing, construction or hands-on work is advantageous but not essential.
