About Us

Going Medical Group is a GP-owned and GP-led group of three general practices across the Darling Downs – Condamine Medical Centre in Warwick, and Middle Ridge Family Practice and The Range Medical Centre in Toowoomba. We're growing, and we're centralising our finance function so every practice runs on the same clean processes. This role sits at the centre of that.

The Role

Part-time or full-time – we're flexible on hours for the right person. Hybrid – a mix of working from home and regular days on site across our Toowoomba and Warwick practices. You'll need to be based in the Darling Downs.

You'll own the day-to-day finance operations of the group, working hand in hand with our COO and the practice managers at each site.

Day to day, that means

- Accounts payable – process and code supplier invoices across the group's entities, manage approvals and payment runs, and keep suppliers and practice managers in the loop.
- Reconciliations – bank and intercompany reconciliations across the group's entities, including trust and operating accounts, kept current and month-end ready.
- Doctor pay – run the fortnightly practitioner pay cycle: reconcile billings from Best Practice and Cubiko, calculate contractor disbursements and service fees, prepare payment files and resolve doctor queries. Keep the Doctor Pay SOP current.
- Working with the practices – be the finance point of contact for the practice managers, and work closely with the COO on month-end,



budget vs actual and the numbers behind our group KPIs.
- Month-end and compliance – support month-end close and BAS alongside our external accountants.
- Better systems – document SOPs, tighten controls and help standardise finance across the group.

About You

- CPA/CA qualified or working towards it – ideal, not essential if your experience stacks up.
- Solid accounts payable and reconciliation experience, ideally across multiple entities.
- Confident and current in Xero. Cubiko, Best Practice, foundU or MBS Pro experience is a bonus.
- Medical or allied health practice experience is highly regarded – especially contractor doctor arrangements, service fees and Medicare billing.
- Accurate, organised and self-directed – happy running your own week between home and the practices.
- Discreet with confidential financial and practitioner information.
- Based in the Darling Downs (Toowoomba, Warwick or surrounds) and able to travel between sites.
