Payroll, Accounts and Office Coordination | Forbes NSW | Full-time

Lead payroll, accounts and office administration for an established regional business

- Manage a small administration team in a trusted, hands-on position
- Varied full-time role based at the Forbes head office

Power Tools Plus is an established Central West business supplying quality tools, steel, industrial and rural products to customers across the region. With a long history of practical service, solid local relationships and supporting the communities in which it operates, the business has locations in Forbes, Parkes and Mudgee. Power Tools Plus is seeking an experienced Administration Manager to oversee its day-to-day financial and office administration functions.

Based at the Forbes head office and reporting to the Managing Director, this is a trusted, hands-on role combining payroll, accounts, compliance administration, office coordination and leadership of the administration team.

The position would suit an experienced administrator, bookkeeper, payroll officer or accounts professional who is ready to take ownership of a busy administration function and support an established regional business.

About You

You are an experienced administration professional who is confident working with payroll, accounts and financial information.

You are organised, reliable and methodical, with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and confidential records. You enjoy working with numbers, documenting procedures and bringing structure to a busy office environment.

You communicate professionally and build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers and contractors. You can manage competing priorities,



meet deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.

Importantly, you take a practical approach to solving problems, support the people around you and look for opportunities to improve systems and ways of working.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading and supporting the administration team, including coordinating workloads and daily priorities.
- Coordinating payroll administration for approximately 25 to 30 employees.
- Managing invoicing and administration associated with BAS, PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation and other financial compliance requirements.
- Administering customer accounts, including credit applications, customer payments, debtor follow-up and maintaining accurate customer information.
- Overseeing daily bank reconciliations and processing online payments.
- Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial and administrative information entered into internal systems.
- Supporting work health and safety policies, procedures and compliance administration, including reporting and audit requirements.
- Maintaining asset registers and coordinating plant and equipment registrations, insurance, repairs and maintenance.
- Managing general administration and correspondence relating to employees, contractors and suppliers.




- Documenting administrative procedures and helping improve office systems and processes.

Qualifications and Experience To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:

- At least two years' experience in bookkeeping, payroll, accounts, financial administration or a similar position.
- Practical experience processing payroll, accounts, payments and bank reconciliations.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience using accounting systems such as Xero or MYOB.
- The confidence to guide an administration team and coordinate workflow.
- A high level of discretion when handling financial, employee and commercially sensitive information.

A Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Business Administration or a related discipline would be advantageous but is not essential. Why Join Power Tools Plus
