Coordinate and lead business practice improvement projects for the Specialist Palliative Care Service (SPCS), while independently managing a multifaceted continuous quality improvement programme aimed at promoting value-based, patient-centred healthcare to stakeholders throughout the health service.
The Role An opportunity has become available for an Allied Health - Advanced (Digital Improvement) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Demonstrate advanced levels of clinical expertise and leadership in specialist palliative care
- Apply advanced clinical expertise to contribute to strategic planning
- Develop specialised education and training programs, supervise and mentor staff within the SPCS
- Independently lead and participate in clinical research and quality improvement projects
About you To be successful in this position you will require:
- Tertiary degree or equivalent from a relevant registered tertiary institution in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Work
- AHPRA Registration, or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body
- Eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part-time
- Base salary ranging from $73.12 - $76.30 per hour
