About the Role

As an Application and Platform Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting, administering and enhancing the organisation's Microsoft application and platform environment. Working across technologies, you will help deliver secure, reliable and scalable solutions that support critical business operations. This is an exciting opportunity to combine application support, platform administration and continuous improvement while contributing to modernisation initiatives and the adoption of best practice technologies.

Key responsibilities include

- Administering, configuring and maintaining enterprise Microsoft applications and platforms to ensure secure and reliable service delivery.
- Delivering application lifecycle activities including testing, deployment, release management, monitoring and automation using DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.
- Analysing business requirements and translating them into practical technical solutions, designs and implementation plans.
- Investigating and resolving application incidents, undertaking root cause analysis and implementing improvements to enhance system performance and stability.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, ICT teams and vendors to deliver platform enhancements, modernisation initiatives and high-quality technical documentation.

About You

We're looking for a proactive and technically capable professional with experience supporting and enhancing Microsoft application and platform environments. You will bring expertise in either .NET development (C#), Microsoft Azure and SharePoint Online, and/or Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate) and SharePoint Online, with experience across both technology streams highly regarded but not essential. You are a self-motivated professional who can work autonomously, effectively manage competing priorities and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Experience administering, supporting and maintaining enterprise Microsoft applications and platform services.
- Knowledge of application support, incident and problem management, testing, monitoring, release management and change control practices.
- The ability to analyse business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions and implementation plans.
- An understanding of cyber security, access management and governance requirements within enterprise application environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working collaboratively with users, vendors and cross-functional ICT teams to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
