Details: We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and high-performing skilled to join our team as Secretariat to the Education Directorate’s peak governance committee.
As Secretariat, you will become part of a supportive and inclusive culture of passionate professionals. You will expand your network by building productive relationships across all levels and areas of the Directorate, gaining unique exposure to the breadth of work in the ACT education system.
In this role, you will work at the centre of executive decision-making, providing high-quality secretariat and governance support to senior committees and executive leaders.
As a valued member of a supportive and collaborative team, you will play a key role in coordinating committee activities, supporting senior executives, and fostering strong governance practices across the Directorate.
We are seeking a senior officer with strong secretariat, coordination and stakeholder management skills, a proven ability to provide high-level executive support, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
- High-level secretariat experience in the public sector would be highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available immediately until January 2027.Selection may be made based on application and referee reports only. This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only. A merit pool may be established from this process and used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. This position operates under a flexible, hybrid work arrangement that includes working from home and Education Offices. Education Offices are designed for activity-based working and officers do not have designated workstations/desks. The Secretariat is required to organise and attend committee meetings (in-person).
