About the role

Vicwest Roofing is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Apprentice Roof Plumber to join our skilled team in Ballarat, VIC. This is a full-time apprenticeship position that offers an excellent opportunity to learn a valuable trade whilst working alongside experienced professionals in the building trades industry. As an Apprentice Roof Plumber, you will develop practical skills in roof plumbing, water management systems, and installation techniques whilst contributing to residential and commercial roofing projects across the region.

This role is fundamental to our business operations and provides the foundation for a rewarding career in the trades.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting experienced roof plumbers in the installation and maintenance of roof plumbing systems, including guttering, downpipes, and flashing
- Learning to measure, cut, and fit roof plumbing materials according to specifications and building codes
- Preparing work sites, positioning equipment, and assisting with material handling on residential and commercial projects
- Gaining hands-on experience in installing and repairing water management systems and drainage solutions
- Following health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe working environment
- Attending relevant training courses and completing assigned apprenticeship requirements
- Assisting with site inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets required standards
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order

What we're looking for

- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in roof plumbing and the building trades
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to work at heights with confidence
- Positive physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry materials regularly
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take on feedback from experienced team members
- Reliable, punctual, and professional work ethic




- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A current, valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites
- Relevant HSE/Health and Safety qualifications or willingness to obtain them
- Preferably, some experience in construction or a related trade (desirable but not essential)
