This is a hands-on, high-impact role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys transforming complex financial data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure. Develop and deploy machine learning models, predictive analytics, and statistical solutions. Collaborate with product, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven outcomes. Maintain data quality, governance frameworks, and documentation standards. Analyze complex datasets related to financial advice, consumer behavior, and market trends. Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and data products for internal and external stakeholders. Stay current with AI/ML, analytics, and financial advice industry developments.



Required Skills & Experience Essential Strong understanding of the Australian financial advice ecosystem, including AFSL structures, advisers, product platforms, and regulatory frameworks (FASEA, DDO, Best Interests Duty). Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and workflow orchestration tools. Strong Python programming skills for data processing, modelling, and analysis. Practical experience in statistics, machine learning, and predictive analytics. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain insights to technical and non-technical audiences. Highly Regarded Experience in financial advice technology, wealth management, or fintech. Familiarity with ASIC data sources and the Financial Advisers Register. Experience building data products or analytics platforms in commercial environments. Exposure to NLP and unstructured data analysis. Previous startup or scale-up experience.
