About the Role

n

We're looking for an Early Career Speech Pathologist to join our Port Pirie team.

n

You'll work across home, school, community and telehealth settings, generally supporting participants within around 30 minutes of Port Pirie, with clients clustered in surrounding areas wherever possible.

n

Our caseload is predominantly paediatric and youth (around 75%), with a smaller adult component, giving you the opportunity to build your skills across a varied NDIS caseload.

n

You'll be part of a small local team alongside OT and Behaviour Support, while also being connected to clinicians and clinical expertise across our wider South Australian and national Avina network.

n

Regional Doesn't Mean Working Alone Working regionally can give you greater variety, strong community connections and plenty of opportunity to develop clinically - but that doesn't mean you're expected to figure everything out by yourself.

n

You'll have regular supervision, weekly team connection and access to clinicians across Avina's wider SA and national network for clinical questions, case discussions and peer support.

n

We also have clinicians who regularly travel into regional locations through DIDO/FIFO arrangements, creating additional opportunities for face-to-face shadowing, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Depending on team and business needs,



there may also be opportunities for you to participate in DIDO/FIFO support across regional SA, with travel and accommodation covered by Avina.

What You'll Be Doing

n

- Deliver person-centred Speech Pathology across home, school and community settings
n
- Complete assessments, intervention planning and ongoing therapy
n
- Support communication and/or mealtime and dysphagia presentations
n
- Collaborate with families, educators and multidisciplinary colleagues
n
- Build your confidence across a predominantly paediatric caseload
n
- Participate in regular supervision, peer collaboration and professional development
n

What You'll Bring

- Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology
n
- Speech Pathology Australia membership, with CPSP preferred or in progress
n
- A collaborative, curious and person-centred approach
n
- Strong communication and organisational skills
n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
n
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle for community work
n
