Housing Australia is the Australian Government’s independent housing delivery agency. It supports the delivery of Government programs to improve the supply of sustainable, long-term social and affordable housing, and supports home ownership for more Australians.

This role supports the Investment team across the project lifecycle, from deal execution to in-life management of housing projects including contributing to financial, credit analysis and loan asset management activities to enable Housing Australia to deliver on the Australian government's objectives.

Key responsibilities

- Transaction support across the deal lifecycle: Provide support to investment focused teams across the deal lifecycle, from origination to financial clos. This includes supporting financial analysis, helping maintain financial models, and preparing and reviewing data for More Homes Group reporting.
- Deal documentation: Support investment teams by assisting with the preparation of due diligence materials, negotiation documents, credit papers, and approval submissions as required.
- Deal structuring: Assist investment teams with commercial deal structuring and negotiations, including attending client meetings where appropriate to support senior team members.
- Loan / asset performance monitoring: Support monitoring of asset performance across development and operational phases, including assisting reviews of project reporting, compliance checks with approved conditions and helping identify potential risks.
- Reporting and systems: Accurate, timely and compliant updating of transaction, asset and portfolio information in Housing Australia’s systems, supporting data integrity and portfolio oversight.
- Learning and capability development: Actively develop technical capability across housing finance, funding products, asset management and governance.




- Responsible for working with the Director Corporate Enablement and Risk to ensure compliance with Housing Australia’s AML/CTF program including the collection and updating of documentation and ongoing customer due diligence.

The successful candidate will have:
- Analytical and financial skills - ability to review and interpret financial models and statements or quickly develop these skills.
- Transaction support- ability to support investment teams with coordination of transaction-related activities, including due diligence and financial analysis.
- Understanding of funding products - developing understanding of debt, grant and availability payment structures.
- Organisational and delivery skills - strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.
- Governance and compliance awareness- understanding of the governance, compliance and approval processes and ability to complete assigned tasks in accordance with policy and legislative requirements.
- Exposure to financial analysis, asset management or structured environments is beneficial
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, business, law or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
