Role Description The Automotive Workshop Controller is a full time, on-site role based at Bendigo Toyota in Bendigo, VIC. This position is responsible for managing the daily workflow of the workshop, including scheduling jobs, allocating tasks to technicians, and monitoring progress to ensure efficient turnaround times. The role involves coordinating service and repair activities, maintaining accurate records, and supporting aftersales operations to uphold high standards of safety and compliance.
The Workshop
Controller works closely with service advisors and technicians to enhance customer satisfaction, communicate job status clearly, and resolve issues promptly. This role also contributes to continuous improvement of workshop processes,
productivity, and quality of service.
Qualifications
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to manage expectations and deliver high-quality service experiences.
- Experience working in automotive workshops or body shops, with knowledge of workshop processes, repair scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with technicians, service advisors, and customers, including clear written and verbal updates.
- Understanding of aftersales operations, including service follow-up, warranty processes, and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Previous experience in an automotive service or workshop control role is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Sound computer skills and familiarity with automotive dealer management or workshop software systems.
- Relevant automotive trade qualification or certificate, or equivalent experience in a service workshop environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and collaborative teamwork.
