What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cafe All Rounder or Barista at WHSmith, you bring a genuine passion for coffee and great service. You must be able to serve all customers in a timely/efficient manner and follow all food safety guidelines.

You will also be responsible for:

- Preparing and serving food and beverages to cafe standards.
- Greeting and interacting with customers in a warm and skilled manner.
- Operating the POS system and handling transactions accurately.
- Restocking supplies and ensuring front-of-house is always well presented.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the cafe.
- Handling both cash and card payments efficiently.





Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for this position will have the following:

- Minimum of 2 years barista experience and at least 12 months working in a cafe environment.
- Experience with Group Head, Puck press and Steam Wand.
- A current Food Safety Certificate is desirable.
- Must be available to work a flexible roster, including shifts starting as early as 3:45am and finishing as late as 11:45pm, with availability across weekends required.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
