Morris + Heath is looking for an experienced, confident Barista & All-Rounder to join our team.

We're looking for someone who already knows their way around a commercial coffee machine and can confidently step into a busy café environment. This is not an entry-level position and we're not looking to train someone from scratch.

You should have a strong understanding of specialty coffee, be confident working independently on the machine, and be able to maintain quality and speed during a busy service.

Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who understands that being a great barista is about more than coffee. Our team works closely together, and you'll be expected to jump between the machine, running coffees, helping on the floor and supporting your teammates when required.

What we're looking for

- Minimum 2 years' professional barista experience
- Commercial café barista experience is essential
- Confident working independently on the coffee machine
- Experience working as part of a busy bar team
- Strong understanding of espresso extraction and milk texturing
- Able to dial in coffee and make adjustments throughout service
- Comfortable maintaining consistency, speed and quality during busy periods
- Able to run coffee and assist on the floor when required
- Friendly, outgoing personality and genuine interest in hospitality




- Comfortable interacting with customers and building relationships with regulars
- Reliable, punctual and professional
- Able to take direction and work well within a team
- Someone who takes pride in their coffee, presentation and work ethic

The role Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing consistently high-quality espresso coffee
- Dialling in and adjusting the grinder throughout service
- Managing coffee service independently when required
- Working alongside other baristas during busy periods
- Running coffees and assisting the floor team
- Maintaining a clean and organised coffee station
- Providing friendly, professional service to our customers
- Helping wherever needed to keep service running smoothly

About you We're looking for someone who already has the skills and experience to do the job.

You should be confident, switched-on and able to hit the ground running. We have a loyal customer base, so personality and customer interaction are a big part of the role. We want someone who will remember our regulars, have a chat with customers and contribute positively to the atmosphere of the café.

Pay: $26.44 – $48.41 per hour
