About the Role Due to our continued growth and success, we are seeking multiple Conveyor Technicians – Trainees and Experienced Splicers to join our service team in Mackay on a permanent, full-time basis. Working throughout the greater Mackay region, you will be involved in shutdowns, conveyor installations, belt repairs, maintenance and servicing across a range of mining and industrial operations.

Your responsibilities will include

- Performing conveyor belt maintenance, repairs and servicing of conveyor systems and components.
- Carrying out conveyor belt installations, repairs and splicing works.
- Working on critical mining projects throughout the Bowen Basin region.
- Conducting fault diagnosis, inspections and quality audits.
- Operating conveyor belt handling and associated mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensuring all sites, tools, vehicles and safety equipment are maintained and operated in accordance with company and site requirements.
- Completing all assigned work in a timely, professional and safe manner.
- Working collaboratively with team members, supervisors and customers to achieve quality outcomes.

- Proven experience in conveyor belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installation of fabric belts.
- The ability to identify common belt damage and faults and determine the appropriate repair method.
- General conveyor maintenance experience.
- Experience operating mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment.
- A current and valid Driver’s Licence, with an MR Licence preferred.
- A current and valid Forklift Licence.
- A Certificate II or III in Polymer Processing would be advantageous.
- Dogging or Rigging qualifications are desirable.
- A willingness to work outside normal hours, including overtime and shutdowns, as required.

Splicer Trainee We’re looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and eager to build a long-term career in the conveyor industry. You’ll have the right attitude to learn,



develop current skills and progress into a skilled trade. To be successful, you will bring:
- A strong commitment to safety and a safety-first mindset
- A current and valid driver’s licence
- Previous proven experience as a Trade Assistant, Dogger or Rigger, preferably within a related industry such as manufacturing or mining
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Sound communication and numeracy skills
- The ability and flexibility to work on-call and overtime
- A willingness to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and National Police Check
- Ideally, one or more of the following qualifications/tickets, i.e. Forklift Licence, Working at Heights, Dogging, Basic Rigging, Confined Space
