This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and reliable Part time Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper to join the Kidsafe Qld team at our head office in Stafford. Working closely with management, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial administration of the organisation and ensuring our accounts and financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

- Recording and maintaining accurate financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable

- Processing invoices, payments and receipts

- Reconciling bank accounts on a regular basis

- Processing payroll and superannuation contributions

- Preparing financial reports and statements for management and board review and compliance purposes

- Managing accounting records and ensuring all documentation is organised and accessible

- Performing monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy

- Preparing and lodging all BAS and ATO obligations on behalf of the business

- Maintaining confidentiality

- Assisting with general administrative tasks as required to support business operations

About you

- A minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience

- Proficiency with Xero essential

- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including double-entry accounting and financial reconciliation





- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping

- Ability to work independently

- Strong organisational and time-management skills, particularly important for part-time arrangements

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

- Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new software and systems

- Knowledge of Australian tax and superannuation compliance requirements

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with team members
