Who are we?
St Clair OOSH is an Out of School Hours Care service, operated by Greater West Childcare based in St Clair NSW. Our centre is open 6:00am – 6:30pm and provides before school, after school and school holiday care for primary school aged children.
We are a Christian organisation, working in partnership with St Clair Baptist Church, to provide Christian, Caring & Fun programs for primary school aged children. All staff are required to respect and help promote, a Christian ethos, regardless of their individual beliefs. We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children, and to fostering a child safe culture within our organisation, which includes ensuring all potential candidates are appropriately screened for suitability prior to engagement.
The Prospect:
We are currently seeking a Bus Driver to join our established and dedicated team here at St Clair OOSH. Bus Drivers are required to drive 25 seat Fuso Rosa buses and must hold an LR or higher class of licence, as well as a Bus Driver Authority card (issued by Service NSW).
The role is ideal for a local, committed person, with a heart for serving their community. Employment will be casual and will involve between 10-20 hours of work per week. This may involve a combination of morning and afternoon shifts, approximately between the hours of 7-9am and 2-4pm.
During school holidays there are no normal hours; however, we typically run two excursions each week which you may be required to drive a bus for, and you may also be required to drive a bus for our other childcare services at other locations. You also may be required to complete additional maintenance and cleaning duties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving our buses to take children to and from school, and on excursions during the school holidays.
- Completing pre-drive, post-drive and maintenance bus checks.
- Supervision of children during bus runs and on excursions.
- Cleaning and maintenance of the buses, facilities and equipment.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- LR license (or higher)
- Bus Driver Authority (or willing to obtain)
- Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- First Aid Certificate HLTAID012 (or willing to obtain)
The successful candidate will have a high level of personal integrity, honesty, and reliability. A willingness to work within a team and a genuine love for children and their families is a must!
Pay Details
As a casual, the pay rate will be between approximately $38 - $40 p/h (depending on your level within the award incl. Worker Retention Payment) Superannuation
