Job Description
We are looking for a Unix/Linux Scripting Engineer with strong hands-on experience in RHEL/Linux administration, Unix scripting, Perl, Python and SQL. The candidate will be responsible for scripting, system-level troubleshooting, performance tuning and automation across Unix/Linux environments.

Must-Have Skills

- Robust experience with Unix/Linux scripting.
n
- Hands-on exposure to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.
n
- Experience with Linux memory management and performance tuning.
n
- Strong understanding of Linux file systems and file system navigation.
n
- Hands-on experience with Perl scripting.
n
- Strong SQL scripting/querying experience.
n
- Ability to troubleshoot and analyse Linux/Unix system issues.
n
- Experience developing scripts for automation, monitoring and operational support.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Develop, maintain and troubleshoot Unix/Linux shell scripts.
n
- Work extensively with RHEL/Linux environments.
n
- Perform Linux system analysis covering memory utilisation, CPU performance, processes and file systems.
n
- Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting across Unix/Linux environments.
n
- Navigate and manage Linux file systems and troubleshoot file-related issues.
n
- Develop and maintain Perl scripts for system and application automation.
n
- Develop Python scripts to automate operational and technical tasks.
n
- Write and execute SQL queries/scripts for data extraction, validation and troubleshooting.
n
- Analyse system logs and troubleshoot scripting or application-related issues.
n
- Automate repetitive operational activities using Unix, Perl and Python.
n
- Work with technical teams to identify performance issues and implement appropriate solutions.
n
- Maintain technical documentation for scripts, processes and operational procedures.
