About the role

We are seeking a motivated, self-driven and results-focused Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Mackay. A strong trade or industrial background would be highly regarded.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in expanding Origin Group's customer base, developing new business opportunities and strengthening our position within the industry.

Key responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Identifying and developing new business opportunities and potential customers.

- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.

- Understanding customer requirements and identifying opportunities for Origin Group to provide solutions.

- Preparing and following up quotations and proposals.

- Networking and promoting Origin Group within the mining, industrial, engineering and resources sectors.

- Working closely with the General Manager and internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.

- Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.





- Supporting the development and implementation of business growth strategies.

- Proactive and able to identify opportunities rather than waiting for them to arise.

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively as a cooperative team member.

- Experienced in sales, business development or a related industrial environment.

- A trade background within engineering, fabrication, mechanical or a similar industry is highly desirable.
