About the role

We are seeking a Cafe Allrounder to join the team at Vantapa Pty Ltd in Canning Bridge, Applecross. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Cafe Allrounder, you will be a key member of our team, capable of performing a variety of tasks across all areas of cafe operations.

Your versatility, customer service skills and ability to multitask will be essential in delivering an exceptional experience to our guests. This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible work in the hospitality sector who can adapt to the demands of a busy cafe setting.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages to a high standard, including espresso-based coffee drinks
- Taking customer orders accurately and processing payments using the point-of-sale system
- Preparing and plating food items in accordance with cafe standards and presentation guidelines
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment, including cleaning equipment, counters and customer areas
- Restocking supplies and managing inventory of beverages, food items and other cafe consumables
- Operating cafe equipment safely and efficiently, including coffee machines, grinders, blenders and toasters
- Providing friendly, efficient and professional customer service to all patrons
- Supporting team members during busy periods and contributing to a positive workplace culture
- Following food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Assisting with opening and closing duties as required

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working in a cafe, restaurant or similar hospitality venue
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, busy environment
- Basic knowledge of coffee preparation and beverage service




- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks and take on different responsibilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- A current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain one
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
