Roasting Warehouse is looking for an experienced and motivated Café Supervisor to join our Airport West team.

We’re a busy specialty coffee roastery, café and wholesale business with a growing presence across Australia. From our beginnings as a small micro-roastery and café in North Melbourne, we’ve grown to multiple locations and wholesale coffee supplied to over 1,000 cafés across Australia.

We’re looking for someone who can help us maintain the high standards that have got us here — someone who leads from the front, takes ownership and genuinely cares about both our customers and our team.

About the Role

As Café Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the café.

You’ll work closely with the Store Manager and leadership team to ensure service runs smoothly, the team is supported and our standards are consistently maintained.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You’ll spend plenty of time on the floor, while also taking responsibility for training, communication, standards and follow-up.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading the team during service and setting the standard for customer experience
- Supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the café
- Running smooth and organised floor service during busy periods
- Supporting baristas, floor staff and order takers throughout service
- Ensuring customers receive friendly, efficient and knowledgeable service
- Monitoring table flow, wait times and overall customer experience
- Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
- Training and coaching new and existing team members
- Ensuring staff follow our service, operational and hospitality standards




- Following up on training and performance expectations
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation
- Completing opening, closing and daily operational tasks
- Supporting stock awareness and communicating shortages or ordering requirements
- Ensuring POS and ordering processes are followed correctly
- Communicating clearly with the Store Manager, Head Barista and kitchen team
- Helping identify operational issues and taking action before they become bigger problems
- Supporting a positive, respectful and accountable team culture

What We're Looking For We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised and naturally takes ownership.

You’ll need

- Previous café, restaurant or hospitality supervisory experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Specialty coffee experience is highly regarded
- Experience leading or training a team
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy service
- Strong communication and people skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- High attention to detail
- The ability to give clear direction while remaining approachable
- A strong understanding of what good hospitality looks like
- Reliability and a strong work ethic

Most importantly, we want someone who doesn't wait to be told what needs doing. You notice the dirty table, the customer waiting too long, the team member who needs support,



the stock that's running low and the small issue that could become a bigger one — and you do something about it.

Pay: $30.00 – $33.00 per hour
