The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Carpenters to join our dynamic and friendly team.
We are looking for reliable, skilled and committed tradespeople who take pride in their work, work well within a team and are comfortable across a diverse range of construction projects.
The position will initially be offered on a casual basis, with full-time employment opportunities available following successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and follow construction plans, drawings and specifications.
- Measure, cut, assemble and install timber and other building components.
- Construct and install framing, walls, floors, stairs, roofs and other structural elements.
- Install doors, windows, cabinetry, fixtures, fittings and finishing elements.
- Undertake general carpentry and construction works across a variety of projects.
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, other trades and team members to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
- Comply with Kardan's WHS requirements, site procedures and all relevant safety protocols.
- Take responsibility for the quality of your workmanship and contribute positively to the wider project team.
What You'll Bring To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A recognised Carpentry Trade Qualification.
- A minimum of two years' relevant carpentry experience.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials and applicable building requirements.
- The ability to confidently read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
- Competency using hand tools, power tools and relevant woodworking equipment.
- Your own tools required to undertake carpentry works.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and efficient work practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- The ability to adapt to changing site conditions and project requirements.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and proactive approach.
- A valid Australian driver's licence and reliable transport.
- A current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- The ability to successfully complete a WA Police Integrity Check.
Highly regarded but not essential:
- High Risk Work Licence (HRWL) tickets and other relevant construction tickets.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working across commercial, government, refurbishment and/or maintenance projects.
