This Could Be Your Next Move!!!
You might already be a great case manager or project manager.
You know how to manage competing deadlines, keep multiple moving parts on track and make sure things actually get finished. You're organised, detail-focused and good at seeing what needs to happen next — without needing someone to constantly tell you.
But perhaps you're ready to apply those skills somewhere different.
We're looking for someone with a case management or project management background who wants to learn a new industry and work in a space where what you do can genuinely make a difference to people's lives, families and businesses.
You don't need migration experience. We'll teach you that.
What we're looking for are the skills that are harder to teach: organisation, ownership, judgement, accuracy, communication and the ability to keep work moving.
This role may suit someone coming from qualified services, legal, finance, insurance, property, recruitment, healthcare, NDIS, construction/project administration or another deadline-driven workplace. It could also be a great fit for someone returning to work who wants to continue using their professional experience without returning to a traditional five-day working week.
You'll Probably Be Great At This If You...
- Naturally keep track of what needs to happen next.
- Have experience managing cases, projects, clients or workflows from start to finish.
- Can comfortably manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Notice when information doesn't quite add up.
- Have excellent attention to detail and take accuracy seriously.
- Like bringing structure to complex information.
- Take ownership of your work rather than waiting for the next instruction.
- Know when to solve something yourself and when to escalate it.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Are confident learning new systems, processes and subject matter.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced small business where everyone contributes.
- Want to learn, develop and become genuinely good at something new.
You don't need to know anything about Australian migration when you start.
You do need to be curious, switched on and willing to learn.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll work closely with two Registered Migration Agents, helping manage client matters and making sure applications progress accurately and efficiently. Your role is to help keep each matter moving — knowing where it's up to, what's outstanding, what needs to happen next and when.
Your responsibilities will include
- Managing and progressing multiple client files against agreed timelines and milestones.
- Assisting Registered Migration Agents with client matters across a range of Australian visa programs.
- Drafting visa, nomination and sponsorship applications for RMA review.
- Coordinating client information, forms and supporting documentation.
- Reviewing documentation for completeness, consistency and accuracy.
- Identifying missing information, inconsistencies and potential issues and escalating these where required.
- Following up outstanding information and documentation with clients.
- Preparing organised, complete files for RMA review.
- Maintaining accurate electronic client files and case management records.
- Monitoring key dates, deadlines, visa expiries and Department correspondence.
- Assisting with application lodgements and post-lodgement administration.
- Assisting with Requests for Further Information and other Department requests under the direction of an RMA.
- Communicating with clients about documentation, administrative requirements, timelines and the progress of their matter.
- Supporting the team to continually improve our systems, templates and workflows.
This is not simply an administration role. We want someone who can take ownership of a workflow, understand the bigger picture and help make sure nothing gets missed. You won't be expected to provide migration advice. Migration advice,
legal strategy and final review remain the responsibility of our Registered Migration Agents. A Role That Can Fit Around Life
This is a part-time role equivalent to three days per week, but we're flexible about how those hours are structured. For the right person, those hours could be worked across three, four or five days.
We know there are highly capable people who don't necessarily want — or can't make — a traditional full-time working week fit anymore.
So whether you're returning to work after having children, looking for greater flexibility, or simply want a professional role that leaves room for the rest of your life, we're open to finding an arrangement that works for both of us.
Salary is negotiable for the right person and will reflect your experience and capability.
There is also scope for the position to grow as the business grows.
About Us
Australian Visa Connect is a boutique migration firm based on the Gold Coast.
We provide migration advice and representation to individuals, families and Australian businesses.
We're not a traditional migration firm. Expert advice is expected. We are proud to say that the experience is what sets us apart.
We believe good migration support isn't just about preparing an application. It's about giving clients clarity, keeping things moving and making what can be an incredibly complicated and stressful process feel organised and well managed.
We're a small, growing team, which means you won't disappear into a large organisation or spend your days completing one small part of a process.
You'll work directly alongside our Registered Migration Agents, learn the industry from them and see the impact of the matters you help manage.
Why Migration?
You might never have thought about working in migration before. That's okay.
Your project management and case management skills are highly transferable to what we do. The difference is what sits at the other end of the project.
It might be someone starting a new life in Australia. A couple building their future together. A family being able to stay together. Or an Australian business being able to bring in the person they need to keep growing.
You'll still be managing deadlines, documents, stakeholders and deliverables. They'll just mean a little more.
