About Us

We're not your average Sydney-based hospitality group. We're all about shaking things up with our diverse brands, from our premium events business Cook & Waiter, to Food Rascal where we partner with like minded organisations to provide their in-house workplace hospitality catering experiences, to our fresh-out-of-the-oven Rascal Bakehouse, and our new Surry Hills venue called Saltbox.

We do creative workplace catering at Australia's biggest tech company in the City, and we also do events in other Sydney venues where we are on the events and catering panel, we are the off-site catering and front of house for some of the world's biggest fashion brands, and we do major events such as Polo.

We have our own production kitchen in Alexandria and our own venue in Surry Hills.

About the Role

As a Chef de Partie,



you’ll work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to prepare and plate high-quality dishes for a range of premium events. From elegant corporate functions to intimate private dinners, you’ll help bring creativity, consistency, and care to every service.

This role is ideal for a skilled, hands-on chefs who are confident in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in presentation, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, high-performing team.

You’ll work across a variety of locations, including our venues in Alexandria and Surry Hills, as well as at off-site events throughout Sydney, giving you the opportunity to be part of diverse and exciting high-end catering experiences.

The Role:

- Prep and execute high-quality dishes for a range of premium events
- Maintain consistency, speed, and presentation under pressure
- Work closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team to deliver exceptional service
- Contribute to menu execution and creative plating
- Ensure hygiene, food safety, and kitchen standards are met at all times

What You’ll Bring:

- Previous experience as a Chef in a fast-paced or fine dining kitchen
- Excellent knife skills, strong attention to detail
- Ability to lead a section and work efficiently during service
- Professional, calm, and adaptable under pressure
- Adaptable availability (nights/weekends/events)
