Casual First Aid & CPR Trainer/Assessor – Ipswich

Shield Education is a registered training organisation based in Ipswich, and we are looking for a casual First Aid and CPR Trainer/Assessor to join our team on an as-needed basis.

We are currently delivering First Aid and CPR training and are growing our workplace and group booking work across Ipswich and surrounding areas.

This is an occasional casual position with no guaranteed weekly hours at this stage. It would suit someone who already has other employment or commitments and is looking for additional training work as bookings arise.

Most work will involve travelling to workplaces to deliver group training, with the occasional class held at our training premises in Brisbane Street, Ipswich when student numbers are sufficient.

Training delivered

- HLTAID009 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

Mandatory requirements

Applicants must have

- A current TAE training and assessment qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
- Current vocational competency and industry currency relevant to HLTAID009 and HLTAID011
- A current National Police Check
- A current Blue Card
- A current Australian driver licence
- Reliable transport and the ability to travel to workplace training locations
- Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development to maintain VET, training and assessment, First Aid and CPR knowledge and industry currency

About the role The successful trainer may be required to:
- Deliver and assess First Aid and CPR practical sessions
- Travel to workplaces for group bookings as required
- Occasionally deliver classes from Shield Education in Ipswich




- Conduct practical assessments in accordance with Shield Education’s assessment tools and procedures
- Complete assessment records and RTO documentation accurately
- Maintain professional and engaging training practices
- Follow Shield Education’s policies, procedures and compliance requirements

Travel to workplace group bookings will be paid as applicable.

Experience

You do not need years of trainer experience.

We are happy to consider someone with limited training experience who has:

- Strong practical knowledge of First Aid and CPR
- Confidence demonstrating First Aid and CPR skills
- Good communication skills
- A professional and reliable approach
- A willingness to learn and follow Shield Education’s systems and assessment processes

Previous experience delivering First Aid/CPR training or working within an RTO is preferred, but the right person with limited experience will still be considered.

Hours

There are currently no guaranteed minimum hours.

Work will depend on confirmed workplace and group bookings, and availability may vary from week to week.

As Shield Education continues to grow, there may be opportunities for additional training work.

We are looking for someone reliable who we can build a positive working relationship with and confidently call upon when bookings are confirmed.

Pay: $45.00 – $65.00 per hour
