We have an exciting opportunity for multiple Casual Library Officers to join the Libraries and Creative Industries branch within the Council.

Position responsibilities include:

- Assist library customers in the use of libraries facilities, services and equipment
- Answering routine enquiries and general customer requests
- Assisting the customers with basic use of the libraries self service facilities
- Assisting the customers in their routine use of the libraries digital and technology recourses

Key indicators for success:

- Literacy and general education standards as associated with secondary school leaving levels and/or commercial training complemented by relevant work experience.
- Library or customer service experience highly regarded.
- Demonstrated digital literacy skills including experience using smart devices, computers, the internet, software applications and a capacity to support staff and assist customers in the use of library digital resources.
- Demonstrated ability to take a positive approach to change and to operate in a flexible working environment with a commitment to learning and continual self-improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work as part of a team using effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with an ability to engage with members of the public to deliver excellent customer service to library customers.

- Possession of a current "C" class driver's licence (desirable)
