Outdoor Elegance is looking for an experienced retail salesperson to join our Richmond showroom team on a casual basis, working approximately 3–4 days per week.

We’ve been in the outdoor furniture business for more than 20 years, and while we’re proud of the products we sell, we believe good retail ultimately comes down to people, relationships and trust.

We’re not looking for someone who simply waits for customers to walk through the door. We want an experienced salesperson who enjoys talking to people, asks the right questions, understands how to build rapport and is comfortable asking for the sale.

About the role

Working from our Richmond showroom, you’ll help customers choose outdoor furniture that genuinely suits their home, lifestyle and budget. This includes managing the complete sales process , from the initial conversation and product advice through to quoting, follow-up and closing the sale.

You’ll also help keep the showroom looking its best and contribute to the day-to-day running of the store.

What we're looking for

- At least 3–5 years' experience in retail sales
- A proven ability to build rapport and close sales
- Confident, natural communication skills
- Someone comfortable selling quality, higher-value products




- Good follow-up habits and attention to detail
- Reliable, well presented and comfortable working independently
- A genuine interest in helping customers rather than using scripted sales techniques
- Availability to work 3–4 days per week, including some weekend work

Experience in furniture, interiors, homewares or other premium retail would be an advantage, but strong sales ability and the right personality are more significant to us than furniture experience.
