Located in Austinmer, Headlands Hotel is a much-loved local venue with a stunning coastal view, offering guests great food and beverages, a welcoming atmosphere, entertainment and a range of facilities for locals and visitors to enjoy.

JDA Collective has exciting opportunities available for both PERMANENT and CASUAL Chefs/Cooks (Grade 3-5).

About the role The positions vacant will involve the preparation and cooking of top quality pub dishes under the Head Chefs direction and high standards.

Headlands

Hotel kitchen runs a 10-16 chef kitchen and these positions will require solid working knowledge of Modern Australian cuisine dishes, along with favourite pub classics, as well as previous experience gained in successful, high turnover restaurants or bistros. The positions on offer are both permanent and casual (please indicate your preference in your application), working to a roster which will include nights and weekends.

The Headlands

Hotel is located a 25 minute drive from Wollongong and a 30 minute drive from the outskirts of the Sutherland Shire, with convenient public transport also available close by.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing, cooking, plating and presentation of high standard dishes

- Keeping your kitchen section organised and clean

- Maintaining stock and ordering





- Ensuring the Bistro's high standards are maintained

- Mentoring junior members of the team.

Skills and experience The successful candidate will have the following:

- Must be trade qualified and hold certification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III minimum or equivalent)

- Will have minimum three (3) year post qualified experience

- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure

- Possess attention to detail, particularly with regard to plating

- Creative and passionate about food and providing high standards of food service
- A genuine passion for food and strong interest in the Hospitality industry

- Ablility to follow Sous Chef/Head Chef instructions/directives

- Good communication skills, positive attitude and be professionally presented at all times

- Flexible and available to work nights, weekends, public holidays

- Available for an immediate start.
