Hours: Approximately 38 hours per week

Little Rokeby Cafe is a busy and established café located in the heart of Subiaco, Perth. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

About the Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast, lunch and café-style dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety.

Key responsibilities include:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting a variety of café-style dishes.
- Preparing ingredients, sauces, stocks and other food components.
- Following recipes and maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
- Monitoring food preparation and cooking processes to ensure timely service.
- Assisting with menu planning and developing current and seasonal dishes.
- Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and receiving supplies.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene,



cleanliness and workplace safety.
- Ensuring food is stored, prepared and handled in accordance with food safety requirements.
- Working effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas.

About You The successful candidate will have:

- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications and/or relevant industry experience.
- Previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends where required.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
