Casual Chef – Café with Vietnamese Influence

We are looking for casual Chefs to join our friendly and busy café kitchen. Our menu focuses on modern café-style food with Vietnamese-inspired flavours and influences.

We are seeking reliable, enthusiastic chefs who take pride in preparing fresh, high-quality food and enjoy working in a fast-paced café environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook café-style breakfast, brunch, lunch, and Vietnamese-inspired dishes.
- Follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality, flavour, and presentation.
- Complete daily food preparation and ensure the kitchen is ready for service.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion control.
- Assist with stock rotation, preparation, and minimising food wastage.
- Keep the kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas clean and organised.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house team.
- Contribute ideas for specials, menu improvements,



and Vietnamese-inspired dishes where appropriate.

About You
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen.
- Experience with Vietnamese or Asian cuisine is an advantage, but not essential.
- Good understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety.
- Able to work efficiently and calmly in a busy kitchen.
- Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Passionate about good food and consistent presentation.
- Available to work flexible schedule, including weekends, depending on the roster.
