We are hiring a dedicated Cook to join our busy and friendly venue.

Two Birds Prospect, located in Prospect NSW, is a cosy and welcoming cafe set inside the beautiful Flower Power Garden Centre Prospect where excellent food and coffee bring people together. We serve fresh breakfast and lunch options along with quality coffee in a relaxed garden setting with a calm and friendly atmosphere that customers enjoy. Our menu focuses on tasty cafe meals made with care, offering something for everyone.

We are passionate about good food, great coffee and creating a pleasant experience our guests will remember. With our cafe continuing to grow, we are seeking skilled and experienced cooks to join our team and help deliver consistent food quality and enjoyable dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a range of dishes in line with menu requirements and recipes.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control are maintained consistently.
- Assist with food preparation including cutting, marinating, and assembling ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen and workstations at all times.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with Food Standards.




- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages or ordering needs.
- Store food items properly to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist in receiving and checking deliveries to ensure quality and accuracy.

Skills and Qualifications Relevant experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.

- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to prepare and present food with consistency and quality.
- Good understanding of kitchen operations and workflow.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of stock handling and minimizing food waste.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
