The Role Are you an experienced Child Health Nurse looking for your next rural and remote contract?

We are currently seeking an experienced Child Health Nurse to join the team on Thursday Island, QLD, supporting mums, babies, children and families across the Torres Strait.

This is a rewarding chance to work within a Maternal & Child Health service, providing high-quality clinical care to children and families in a unique remote setting.

Key duties include:

- Providing comprehensive child health assessments and developmental checks
- Supporting antenatal, postnatal, maternal and child health services
- Immunisations and preventative health care
- Health education and promotion for children, parents and families
- Identifying and managing child health concerns and developmental needs
- Providing culturally appropriate care and working closely with families and the local community
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and care planning
- Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary health team
- Supporting health promotion,



community education and outreach activities

Located in the beautiful Torres Strait, Thursday Island offers a unique remote working experience in a close-knit community. Salary & Package

- Up to $93 per hour

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you will need:
- Postgraduate qualification in Child Health / Child & Family Health
- Minimum 3 years' recent child health experience
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote settings
