Join Keevs Construction! Keevs Construction is an engineering-backed, self-delivery civil contractor based in Thornton, with a strong reputation for precision across Newcastle, the Hunter, the Central Coast, and the Mid North Coast. As our project pipeline grows, we are seeking an experienced Civil Site Supervisor to join our team.
About the Role
Working closely with our Project Manager and Managing Director, you will take ownership of civil construction works across our diverse commercial portfolio, which spans subdivision civil, bulk earthworks, stormwater and drainage, roadworks, and retaining walls. The role combines site leadership with project control. You will be a key point of contact for crews, plant operators, and subcontractors, helping organise daily activities and ensure jobs are delivered safely, on time, and on budget.
You will also maintain professional relationships with clients, consultants, and certifiers while ensuring absolute compliance with our ISO-certified (9001, 14001, 45001) standards and strong WHS culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Site Coordination: Manage day-to-day site operations, crews, plant, subcontractors, and materials across multiple concurrent projects.
- Set Out & QA: Read plans, complete site set outs using GPS equipment, benchmarks and grid lines, and maintain accurate records including daily shift reports and accountability for team members in site documentation.
- Project Control:
Monitor daily project costs and report progress directly to the PM and Managing Director.
- Stakeholder & Safety Leadership: Drive a robust WHS culture on site and liaise professionally with clients, consultants, and certifiers.
About You
We are looking for someone who is capable, practical, and highly organised. You will be comfortable leading from the front, taking ownership of site activities, and ensuring quality assurance on the ground.
Ideally, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising civil projects (earthworks, roads, and drainage).
- Strong practical knowledge of civil construction and the technical capability to set out works.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to prioritise resources across multiple sites.
- NSW Construction Induction (White Card) and a current Class C Driver’s Licence.
The following would also be highly regarded:
- Certificate III or IV in Civil Construction and experience across a broad range of civil projects.
- VOCs for civil plant (excavators, rollers, graders) and computer literacy.
