About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Client Services Officer to join independent boutique financial planning team in Adelaide SA . This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional client experiences and supporting the smooth operation of our financial planning services. As a Client Services Officer, you will be the bridge between our clients and our financial advisers, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and client satisfaction.

This role is essential to maintaining strong client relationships and supporting the growth of our business within the financial planning sector.

Key responsibilities

- Manage client communications via phone, email and in-person meetings, responding promptly to enquiries and concerns
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in compliance with financial services regulations
- Schedule and coordinate appointments between clients and financial advisers
- Prepare and distribute client statements, reports and financial planning documents
- Process client requests for account updates, transfers and other administrative transactions
- Support financial advisers with client onboarding and fact-finding processes
- Identify opportunities to enhance client service delivery and suggest process improvements
- Ensure compliance with Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) requirements and internal policies
- Handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and professionalism

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in a client-facing role within financial services or a related professional environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in clear, accessible language
- Strong organisational and time management abilities with the capability to manage multiple client requests simultaneously
- Proficiency with computer systems and office software, including customer relationship management (CRM) platforms




- A thorough understanding of financial services compliance and privacy regulations, or a willingness to develop this knowledge
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling client records and documentation
- Professional demeanour and genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer service
- Certificate IV in Financial Services (or equivalent) is highly desirable
- Experience with financial planning software or banking systems is advantageous
