Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNC), providing expert, person-centred care to patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) within our Gastroenterology service.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:

As the IBD CNC, you will use advanced clinical expertise to support patients and their families through diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.

You'll work collaboratively with gastroenterologists, nurses, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to deliver evidence-based care, improve patient outcomes,



and enhance the overall patient experience.

Reporting to the Clinical Lead, IDB CNCs, this role will undertake suitable responsibilities appropriate to qualifications as part of collaborative service.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Registered Nurse with current registration with AHPRA.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications in gastroenterology, IBD, or a related field (or working towards).
- Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in gastroenterology or chronic disease management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
