Are you a motivated and engaged Registered Nurse with experience in Mental Health nursing and education or an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator who is passionate about improving care provided to consumers?

We are looking for someone like you to join and enhance our team and provide education and support to our staff who possesses as passion for teaching and providing quality evidence based practice and education to our staff, helping mental health consumers on their journey to recovery.

Inpatient Mental Health, based at St George Mental Health Service, located on the St George Hospital campus, Kogarah.

Selection Criteria:

1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
2. Holds a relevant clinical or education post registration qualification or 3 years clinical experience in mental health nursing and education.
3. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Understanding of teaching and learning in the health care environment (adult learning principles).
5. Demonstrated clinical teaching & facilitation skills.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of competency attainment and assessment.
7. Computer literacy and understanding of hospital information systems.
8. Experience in working within a practice development framework, including experience in facilitating groups.
