St John of God Health Care is expanding access to specialised trauma recovery services through our new Mental Health Satellite Site in Wagga Wagga.

The newly developed PTSD Recovery Centre provides a comprehensive, specialised outpatient trauma service supporting Australian Defence Force (ADF) members, first responders and veterans within their local community.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new service at the forefront of trauma-informed care, working alongside experienced clinicians and contributing to the development of a service designed to improve access to evidence-based trauma recovery.

About the opportunity

We are seeking Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Psychologist Registrars and Registered Psychologists (Grade 2–3) to join our clinical team in Wagga Wagga on a permanent full-time or part-time basis.

You will work within a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed model of care, providing individual and group interventions to clients experiencing trauma-related presentations.

You will be supported by a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist with specialist trauma expertise and work alongside our Research Lead, contributing to the collection and evaluation of clinical outcomes to help inform future service delivery.

Your role In this role, you will:

- Provide evidence-based individual and group psychological assessment and intervention.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and develop, implement and review individualised treatment and care plans.
- Monitor client progress and adjust interventions in response to clinical outcomes.
- Contribute to the evaluation of clinical outcomes and research activities.




- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with referring medical practitioners and other stakeholders.
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice in accordance with relevant legal, ethical and professional requirements.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative and trauma-informed team culture.

About you To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA.
- Postgraduate clinical experience working with individuals and groups.
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
- A commitment to recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical supervision.

Previous experience working with ADF members, veterans, first responders or emergency services personnel, particularly those experiencing PTSD or complex trauma, will be highly regarded. Why join us?

- Grade 2-3 salary banding: $79,551 to $139,754 (pro rata for part time) plus 12% Superannuation
