We’re looking for an experienced Digital Governance Co-Facilitator in Canberra.

If you enjoy working with senior leaders, asking the right questions, creating meaningful conversations and helping people work through complex digital and governance challenges, this could be an interesting opportunity for you.

We’re supporting the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) with its Digital Governance Program and are looking for someone who can work alongside DTA executives and staff to help deliver the program to senior government leaders.

This isn’t a traditional training role. The program is highly interactive and involves real-world discussions, governance simulations, case studies and group activities . You’ll be working with Senior Responsible Officers and other senior executives, helping them explore the challenges they face when leading large digital and technology-enabled programs.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll help prepare for and co-facilitate the program, which is delivered over two days in Canberra.

You’ll be expected to

- Facilitate conversations with senior executives and keep discussions engaging and focused.
- Encourage people to share their experience and different perspectives.
- Ask challenging questions and respectfully test assumptions.
- Help participants work through complex governance, policy, risk and delivery issues.
- Support simulations, case studies and interactive activities.
- Work closely with the DTA team to prepare for each program delivery.
- Bring your own experience and practical perspective to the room.

We’d like to hear from you if you have:




- Experience facilitating workshops, leadership programs or training for SES, C-suite or equivalent senior audiences .
- Experience working with governance boards, steering committees or senior decision-making forums on large digital, ICT or transformation programs.
- A good understanding of the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO) role and the challenges involved in governing major digital programs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills.
- The confidence to work with senior people, manage different viewpoints and challenge constructively.
- A genuine interest in helping senior leaders learn from each other and improve the way they approach digital governance.

The practical details ? Canberra, ACT

? Hybrid preparation, with program delivery onsite at DTA, 11 Moore Street

⏰ Up to 20 hours per week

? Expected start: 9 October 2026

? Initial contract: 12 months , with the possibility of a further 12-month extension

? Baseline clearance eligibility required The program will run on a regular cadence, so this would suit someone who is comfortable with a part-time engagement alongside other skilled commitments .
