Position: Commercial Blasting Engineer
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65–$75/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Write challenging single-turn prompts in energetic materials and propulsion. Label them as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.
- Evaluate model responses against a defined policy standard. Judge the correctness of each response.
- Write reference answers, explaining correct responses and technical reasoning.
- Distinguish between routine professional questions and those fishing for misuse. Ensure model responses align with this distinction.
- Work independently and asynchronously. Maintain flexible schedule while improving model performance.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Licensed practitioner in handling, storing, and moving specialty materials.
- Experience in blast design, vibration control,
and regulatory compliance.
- Strong technical writing skills with prior experience or published research.
- Ability to write clear rationales for non-specialists.
Preferred
- Red-teaming experience in mining, quarrying, construction, or demolition.
- Background in magazine management and inventory reconciliation.
