About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Commercial & Intellectual Property Lawyer to join our growing Legal Services team.

This role provides exposure to a diverse range of commercial, intellectual property, technology, privacy, regulatory, corporate and dispute resolution matters. You will work closely with clients, senior leadership and business stakeholders, providing practical legal advice, protecting valuable intellectual property assets and supporting strategic commercial initiatives.

Please note that this is a full-time, office-based position located in Parramatta. The role is performed onsite Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

Intellectual Property Management

- Advise on the protection, registration, maintenance, enforcement and commercialisation of intellectual property rights.
- Manage trade mark and intellectual property portfolios.
- Conduct intellectual property audits and due diligence reviews.




- Prepare and negotiate licensing, assignment and confidentiality agreements.
- Manage infringement matters, disputes and enforcement actions.

Commercial Legal Advisory

- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
- Provide commercially focused legal advice across commercial, contractual and corporate matters.
- Identify legal risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
- Support commercial transactions, contract management and legal process improvement initiatives.

Corporate, Technology and Regulatory Advisory

- Support mergers, acquisitions, business sales and corporate restructures.
- Advise on corporate governance, compliance and business structures.
- Provide legal advice on technology, software, privacy, cybersecurity, data protection and emerging technologies.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise on compliance obligations.

Dispute Resolution and Risk Management

- Manage commercial and intellectual property disputes.
- Conduct negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions.
- Prepare legal correspondence, notices and dispute documentation.
- Coordinate external legal service providers where required.
- Support organisational risk management and compliance initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Provide practical and commercially focused legal advice to clients and business leaders.
- Prepare legal reports, briefing notes and legal opinions.
- Deliver legal training and legislative updates.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).
- Current Australian Practising Certificate.
- Minimum 2 years' post-admission experience in Commercial and/or Intellectual Property Law.




- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Demonstrated experience in trade marks, intellectual property protection and commercial advisory matters.
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capability.
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound commercial judgment and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
