- Social Worker Level 1-2: $79,419.00 - $113,301.00 per annum
- Registered Nurse: $81,748.17 - $114,771.98 per annum
- Psychologist: $83,670.00 - $122,465.00 per annum
In addition to base salary, all roles attract 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging Location: Bankstown Community Health Centre

Join the Bankstown Assertive Outreach Team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with severe and persistent mental illness. You will be part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team delivering recovery-oriented, strengths-based care in the community. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to build therapeutic relationships, provide evidence-based interventions, coordinate recovery plans, and support consumers and carers across a seven-day service.
With varied shifts and a strong focus on collaboration, innovation, and person-centred care, this position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting recovery and promoting positive outcomes for some of the community's most vulnerable individuals.
As a pool clinician, you’ll begin by supporting one of our teams to fill a current vacancy. As new opportunities arise across our mental health services, you may be offered the chance to transition to other teams—providing you with valuable experience and exposure across the diverse services within SWSLHD Community Mental Health. Future roles may become available at Ingleburn, Campbelltown, Ambarvale, Liverpool, Fairfield, and Wollondilly.

The team provides support across a 7-day rotating roster, offering varied shifts (8:30am–5:00pm, 10:00am–6:30pm, and 2:00pm–10:30pm) to meet the needs of consumers and carers
Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
- Relevant qualifications as a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or qualified Social Worker eligible for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), or CSU Graduates: Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health).
- Please provide a detailed description of your interest and motivation in applying for this role highlighting your relevant skills & experience in providing assessment and treatment for consumers of the mental health service.
- Using an example, describe a time where you have had to work as part of a team to solve a problem. Outline the communication skills used and how you ensured the problem would not occur again.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
