Allegiance Heart & Home Care is currently seeking a reliable, respectful and experienced Support Worker / Domestic Assistance Worker for an ongoing home-care shift.

This is a regular fortnightly Thursday shift supporting an older person to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable home environment.

Duties May Include

The role will primarily involve routine domestic assistance tasks such as:

- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
- Cleaning kitchen surfaces
- Dusting and wiping surfaces
- General household tidying
- Laundry and folding clothes
- Changing bed linen where required
- Washing dishes
- Taking out household rubbish
- Maintaining clean and safe walkways within the home
- Other light household cleaning tasks within the approved scope of domestic assistance

This role does not involve heavy or specialist cleaning, moving heavy furniture, gardening or tasks outside the worker’s safe scope of practice.

- Is reliable and punctual
- Has good attention to detail
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe home workplace
- Is respectful of the participant’s home, belongings, privacy and preferences




- Can work independently and follow an individual care plan
- Communicates professionally with participants, families and the care team
- Can complete required shift notes and report any concerns appropriately
- Understands the importance of dignity, choice, independence and person-centred care

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have, or be willing to obtain where applicable:

- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Valid Australian working rights
- Reliable transport to and from the shift
- Smartphone with ability to use a care management/rostering app
- Previous experience in aged care, disability support, community care or domestic assistance is highly regarded
