Exciting Traineeship Opportunity in the Construction Industry!

Are you a young person interested in pursuing a hands-on career in the construction and building industries? We have an exciting opportunity for you! YOUNITY is looking for10 young people aged between 17 & 24 years to undertake a 6-month paid traineeship and graduate with a Cert I in Construction.

- No experience required
- Must have an interest in working outside, renovations, working in a team
- Paid 26 week traineeship!

This is an amazing chance where you will have the chance to learn from experienced professionals and gain practical skills that will set you up for a successful career. The traineeship will prepare you to transition into an apprenticeship position and provide opportunities to begin creating a trade portfolio. This traineeship is perfect for anyone interested in working with their hands and wants to be a part of an exciting project environment. You will learn the ins and outs of joinery and building, from creating and reading plans to selecting materials and using tools and machinery.

As a trainee, you will have the chance to work on real projects and contribute to constructing Younity's Special Assistance School - The Younity School, as well as other local projects.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your teamwork, communication skills, confidence-building, and job prep skills as you will work alongside other trainees and meet with your own employment coach.

At the end of your traineeship,



you will have gained valuable experience and be ready to take on an apprenticeship within the construction industry. Whether you want to become a joiner, builder, or project manager, this traineeship will set you on the right path.

Who can apply?

- Young people 17 - 24 yrs who are entering or returning to work;
- Must NOT have completed a Certificate in Construction before;
- Not currently a full-time student at TAFE, University or School;
- Be local to the Moreton Bay area;
- Working with Children Check: Younity is a child safe organisation, and you must be eligible for a Blue Card.
