About the Role

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant in Rennie’s Strategy & Operations team, you will help clients make evidence-based decisions about which products and services to take to market, how to build competitive advantage, and where to make investments. The role will also support the design and implementation of operating models that turn strategy into execution.

Our work spans

- Strategy: Growth strategy, scenario planning, portfolio reviews, market entry assessments, market and competitor analysis, and commercial due diligence.
- Operations: Operating model and organisational design, process improvement, capability assessments, transformation and implementation support.

Our clients include investors, renewable energy developers, network businesses, energy retailers, service providers and government organisations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking Consultants and Senior Consultants with energy-sector experience to join our team in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. You will work alongside senior Rennie colleagues to solve complex client problems, undertake analysis and develop clear, practical recommendations.

Your role will contribute throughout each engagement, with regular opportunities to engage directly with clients and take on responsibility for high-quality analysis, communications and deliverables.

Experience & Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates with:

- Consulting experience: One to two years of consulting experience, work in the energy sector will be highly favorable
- Relevant expertise: Experience in strategy, operations or both.



This could include growth strategy, portfolio reviews, market entry, scenario planning and commercial due diligence, or operating model design, transformation, implementation support and project management office (PMO) delivery.
- A proactive approach: Self-motivation, initiative and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A collaborative mindset: The ability to work effectively in a team and bring resilience to challenging problems.

We welcome candidates with a focus on either strategy or operations, as well as those with experience across both.
