About the role

As a member of AcademyGlobal's faculty, you will facilitate practical, engaging career development programs using AcademyGlobal-developed course materials and learning resources. We work with leading universities, professional associations and organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors, combining contemporary thinking with practical, workplace-focused learning.

Assignments vary depending on client requirements and facilitator availability and may include short workshops, multi-day programs, longer capability development initiatives and skilled qualification programs.

Delivery takes place in both virtual and face-to-face environments. We deliver nationally across all Australian states and territories, with particularly strong demand currently in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Depending on your location and availability, opportunities may involve local delivery as well as interstate travel.

Key responsibilities

- Facilitate practical, engaging professional development programs using AcademyGlobal-developed course materials and learning resources
- Create an engaging learning environment and draw participants into discussion
- Translate concepts into practical application
- Facilitate both in-person and virtual workshops, including platforms such as Microsoft Teams
- Work with experienced professional audiences and adapt delivery to different organisational contexts
- Contribute your own practical experience and insights to participant learning

Areas of expertise We are particularly interested in hearing from facilitators with substantial professional experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Procurement and Contract Management – public sector procurement, strategic sourcing, tendering and evaluation, contract management, supplier relationship management, probity, commercial management and procurement governance




- Leadership and Management – leadership development, people management, performance, communication, change, strategic thinking and management capability
- Finance – finance for non-financial managers, budgeting, financial analysis, public financial management and commercial acumen
- Risk Management – enterprise and strategic risk, operational risk, risk frameworks, governance and assurance
- Project and Program Management – project planning and delivery, governance, stakeholder management, project risk and benefits realisation
- Negotiation, Influencing and Stakeholder Engagement – negotiation, influencing without authority, difficult conversations, stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management

We are particularly interested in facilitators with experience working within or closely with the Australian public sector, given the significant proportion of AcademyGlobal's work delivered to government departments and agencies.

About you

- Substantial professional or leadership experience in your area of expertise
- Demonstrated experience facilitating adult learning, workshops, professional development or executive education
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and relevant professional certifications, postgraduate qualifications, academic experience or recognised industry credentials are highly regarded
- The ability to translate technical or complex concepts into practical, accessible learning
- Confidence facilitating both in-person and virtual workshops, including platforms such as Microsoft Teams
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- An engaging and inclusive facilitation style




- The ability to work with experienced professional audiences and adapt delivery to different organisational contexts
- Reliability, professionalism and a solid commitment to participant experience
- Experience working with government departments or agencies is highly regarded, particularly where you understand the governance, accountability and operating environment of the Australian public sector

This is a contract engagement, making it well suited to experienced consultants, independent facilitators, academics, semi-retired executives and senior practitioners interested in combining their professional work with high-quality education and capability development. We are interested in building long-term relationships with high-quality facilitators, so expressions of interest are welcome from those seeking regular engagements as well as experienced practitioners who may only be available for selected programs throughout the year.
